I write this with a heavy heart and trembling hands, as a father who is desperately trying to save his little daughter’s life. My name is Saransh Gupta, and my 3-year-old daughter, Niya, is battling a cruel disease—eye cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), but her condition is deteriorating fast, and we are struggling to provide her with the care she urgently needs.

Until recently, I worked at a small medical shop in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, earning ₹10,000 a month—just enough to take care of my family’s basic needs. But when Niya was diagnosed with cancer, everything changed. Frequent hospital visits, expensive tests, and endless treatments made it impossible for me to continue working. I had no choice but to leave my job to be by my daughter’s side, as she fights this painful battle. My wife, a homemaker, is equally devastated, and we now find ourselves living in a small jhuggi near AIIMS, struggling every day just to get by.

Niya is too young to understand why she is suffering, why she can no longer see the world clearly, or why she has to endure painful treatments instead of playing like other children her age. Every time she cries out in pain, every time she asks us to take her home, my heart shatters into pieces. As parents, we feel helpless watching our baby girl go through this nightmare.

The doctors have told us that immediate and continuous treatment is our only hope of saving Niya’s vision—and her life. Chemotherapy, medications, and ongoing care are essential, but the cost is far beyond what we can afford. We are completely drained, financially and emotionally, and we fear that without help, we may lose our precious daughter.

I never imagined that one day I would have to ask strangers for help. But as a father, I will do whatever it takes to save my child. Today, I am reaching out with a humble plea—please help us give Niya a chance to live.
