My name is Sunil Kumar, and I live in Olapur village, Bhagalpur district, Bihar. I run a small grocery (kirana) shop in my village to support my family. Whatever little I earn from this shop goes towards fulfilling our family’s daily needs.

I never imagined that one day I would have to seek financial help from others to save my own child.

My son, Shivam Kumar Rajak, is just 11 years old. At an age when he should be going to school, playing with his friends and enjoying his childhood, he is facing a serious health condition related to Hematology.

Currently, my son is undergoing treatment at AIIMS, New Delhi. Seeing my little boy go through medical examinations, hospital visits and treatment is one of the most painful experiences of my life. As a father, I wish I could take away all his pain, but all I can do is stay beside him and try my best to arrange everything needed for his treatment.

I run a small kirana shop in my hometown. My earnings are limited, and they are barely enough to manage our household expenses. Now, with my son’s treatment, our financial situation has become extremely difficult. The approximate cost of his treatment is ₹10,00,000 (10 lakh rupees), an amount that is far beyond my financial capacity.

I have always worked hard to provide for my family, but today, despite all my efforts, I am unable to arrange such a huge amount on my own.

My only dream is to see Shivam healthy again. I want him to return home, go back to school, play with his friends and live the happy childhood every child deserves.
