I write to you as a father seeking support for my 4-year-old son, Anand Kumar, who is fighting for his life against blood cancer. My name is Ashok Kumar, and I am a paint laborer, earning a mere ₹5,000 a month, as verified by our local panchayat and government. My wife, Kajal Kumari, is a homemaker, and together we are doing everything in our power to save our little boy.
Anand was a bright, playful child, always bringing smiles to those around him. But a few months ago, our world was turned upside down when we noticed that he was falling ill frequently, growing weaker by the day. After several hospital visits and countless tests, we received the devastating diagnosis—Anand has blood cancer.
Currently, Anand is undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Pathology (I.C.M.R). Due to his critical condition and the nature of his treatment, we had to leave our home in MIDC Satpur, Nashik, Maharashtra, and move to a small jhuggi near AIIMS, where we struggle daily to make ends meet.
Anand’s condition is deteriorating rapidly, and the doctors have advised that immediate and continuous treatment is essential to save his life. The journey ahead includes chemotherapy, intensive medical care, and costly medications. Watching my son endure the pain and discomfort of this disease is the hardest thing I’ve ever faced as a parent.
As a father, I am heartbroken. My meager earnings are barely enough to provide for basic necessities, let alone the extensive treatment Anand desperately needs. My wife and I are exhausted, both financially and emotionally, as we watch our child fight this terrible disease with a strength that belies his age.
Anand’s laughter and joy once lit up our lives, and we are determined to see him recover and live the life every child deserves. But we cannot do this alone. This is why I am reaching out to you with a humble plea for support.
Your kindness and compassion could be the lifeline that helps save Anand’s life. Whether it’s through prayers, sharing our story, or any other way of offering support, your actions can make an immense difference in giving our son a second chance at life.
Thank you for taking the time to read Anand’s story and for considering our plea. Your generosity means more to us than words can express, and with your help, we believe Anand can overcome this and grow into the strong, vibrant boy we know him to be.
