My name is Manoj, father of little Master Kishor. We live a very simple life, surviving day by day on daily wages. I work as a labourer, and with great difficulty I earn around ₹10,000–15,000 per month. Whatever I earn goes into running our home and trying to give my child a safe life.

My son Kishor is just 2 years and 3 months old. At this age, children should be playing, laughing, and discovering the world. But instead, our little boy is fighting a battle no child should ever have to face.

A few months ago, we noticed something unusual in his eye. We thought it might be dust or a minor infection. But slowly, his condition worsened. After many hospital visits and tests, the doctors gave us news that broke our hearts completely —
our son has eye cancer.

When we heard this, everything went silent for us. My wife cried endlessly, and I felt helpless. As a father, watching my small child suffer pain, fear, and repeated hospital procedures is unbearable. He doesn’t understand why he is being poked with needles or taken away from home so often. He only looks at us with innocent eyes, trusting us to protect him.

His treatment is ongoing, and the medical expenses, travel, and daily needs are far beyond our capacity. Many times, I stand helpless, wondering how I will arrange the next hospital visit. But even then, we do not give up — because he is our son, our hope, our life.

Every night, I pray that God gives my child strength.
Every day, I wish I could take his pain upon myself.
