My name is Balam Kumar, father of baby Varsha. We live in Kaitha, Aliganj, Sojamui, Bihar. My daughter is just 2 years and 2 months old, but life has already put her into a battle no child should ever face.

A few months ago, we noticed that her eye wasn’t looking normal. At first, we thought it was a small infection, but slowly things got worse. After taking her to the hospital, doctors told us something that shattered our hearts —
our little Varsha is suffering from eye cancer.

Hearing this, my wife broke down completely, and I felt the ground slip from under my feet. She is our only daughter… our entire world. Seeing such a small child go through painful tests and treatments is something no parent should ever witness.

Her treatment is going on, and her UHID number is 108606166. I am a labourer, and with great difficulty I earn around ₹10,000 per month. We try our best to manage our home and her medical needs, but the expenses and travel take a heavy toll on us. Still, we are determined to fight for her — because she deserves to grow, to play, to smile, to live a normal life.
