My name is Prahlad Singh, and I am writing to you as a father who is holding onto hope, faith, and the kindness of people like you. My only child, Atul, just 11 years old, is fighting the most painful battle of his life— Blood Cancer.
Two years ago, our world shattered when Atul was diagnosed with this cruel illness. Since then, he has undergone countless tests, treatments, and hospital stays. Watching him endure such immense pain and uncertainty, while still trying to smile through it, has been the most heart-wrenching experience of my life. Despite everything, Atul continues to fight bravely. His courage inspires me, but as a father, it breaks me that I am unable to shield him from this suffering.
I am a simple farmer, earning a meager ₹10,000–12,000 a month. My income is just enough to cover our basic needs, and I have already exhausted everything I had to keep Atul’s treatment going. Now, the doctors have informed us that he needs advanced treatments to survive, which will cost ₹15 lakh. This amount is far beyond what I could ever hope to arrange on my own.
Atul is not just my son; he is my whole world, my reason to wake up each day, and my biggest dream. He is the light of our home and the only child we have. My wife and I have dreamed of seeing him grow up, go to school, and live a life full of joy and possibilities. But today, all we want is to save his life.
As a parent, there is no greater pain than feeling powerless when your child’s life is at risk. I wake up every day wishing I could do more for him, praying for a miracle. I am not a man of many means, but I am holding onto hope that the goodness in this world can help save my son.
Your support, your prayers, and your kindness could be that miracle for Atul. I am humbly asking you to open your heart and stand with us in this time of need. Atul’s fight is far from over, but with your help, we can give him the chance to win it.
From the depths of my heart, I thank you for taking the time to read our story and for keeping my son in your thoughts and prayers. Your compassion gives us strength in this darkest hour.
